Book Borrowing Service:

  • The Library is located at the three areas of the city of Abu Dhabi.
  • Abu Dhabi Area – Rabdan City Center.
  • Al Ain Area – Hafeet City Center.​
  • Al Dhafra Area – Al Mirfa City Center. 

There is a collection of various books and titles in different fields, which serve all specializations and age categories. The Library can be visited where a visitor can sit down to read. Furthermore, the Library offers book borrowing service.

 

Reading Sessions:

ZHL holds sessions for reading and the discussion of books in cooperation with some partners, such as Kalima Press and the Book Fair, through which a number of titles were introduced to various categories of the local community, including the category of senior citizens.

 

Zayed Caravan Trip:

ZHL undertakes a number of trips and visits for being introduced to various cultural landmarks and areas and for the creation of partnership relations for the exchange of expertise and knowledge and to encourage the members of the local community to invest such cultural resources in the development of family members.

 

Art & Cultural Exhibitions:

Arising from ZHL's care for the encouragement of the youth and various artistic talents and for providing a supportive environment that motivates creativity, innovation and talent development, the Library holds art and cultural exhibitions to support talented children and youth.

 

Cultural Lectures:

The Library hosts, in cultural sessions titled “Tuesday's Talk", a number of writers and specialists in the field of heritage, literature, poetry and various arts, who are brought together with the audience in rich interactive meetings in which the audience hold a discussion with the guest on all what they might be thinking about such art, writer or book.

 

Training Sessions:

ZHL conducts a number of courses and workshops in the field of creative writing, child writing and scenario writing, as well as training workshops in the field of reading and storytelling for children and its impact on the optimization of human behavior.

 

Humanitarian Library Sessions:

These are sessions that are conducted by the Library to bring together writers and specialists with a number of promising writers who have put their step on the road, but reluctantly. So, the guest would share his/her experience in writing with them and would give his/her advice and answer the enquiries of the audience of readers and writers about issues that are related to writing and authoring, along with the discussion of some of the writer's works and deliberation on some of the technical and literal issues in writing. Furthermore, the guest would encourage and motivate them to write and to continue expression and the development of their creative skills and talents and train on the acceptance and implementation of constructive criticism towards the production of authored works of outstanding quality.

 

Official Visits:

ZHL receives official visits from public and private schools and public organizations, where such visitors are introduced to the Library and its sections. The Library also offers some activities such as reading a story or some artworks, as well as some cultural entertainment activities.​​
